Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

You will be picked up from the airport by Ernest Magic Tours & Safaris representative, who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha, where you will overnight, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come.

Day 2: Arusha-Tarangire National Park

We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 8:00am and take you to a very special safari park in Tanzania. Tarangire is famous for its diverse landscape with nine different vegetation zones. The Tarangire safari park is particularly known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees (the largest trees on the continent), which fill the landscape and dwarf the animals next to them. The river in the park is full of wildlife, ranging from a large variety of birds to lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and, of course, African elephants. In fact, Tarangire has the largest concentration of elephants in the whole country and provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. In the afternoon, we will still do a game drive before continuing to your accommodation.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park

There was a reason that “The Lion King” creators drew their inspiration from the Serengeti, and today you will get to discover why. Renowned for its large lion population, this may be the best opportunity to get a great view of a lion pride in their natural habitat, as the gazelles, zebras, and buffalo are abundant in this region. Come during the right season and witness the birth of the wildebeest calves, when they will begin their annual migration to Kenya at the end of May. Lunch will be served in the park, and after a full day of games and drives, your lodge awaits.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Full day in Serengeti National Park. We are completely flexible with your preferences, and this day will be organized according to your wishes. On every day of the safari tour, your guide will discuss with you the best timings for you, including the game drives and the wake-up time. For example, on this day, you could do a morning game drive, return to the lodge camp for lunch and relaxation and finish with an afternoon game drive, or you could do a full-day game drive with picnic lunch

Day 5: Serengeti Via Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu

After an early breakfast, we continue with our en route drive inside Serengeti National Park before we depart for Ngorongoro Crater. You will descend down the crater, which is almost 610 meters deep.

The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve, which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations on the whole African continent. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself, and when you reach the crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best

chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.

After lunch and an extensive game drive inside the crater, we head for our comfort partner lodges in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Karatu to Arusha

After a leisurely breakfast, drive back to Arusha, arriving in time for lunch and last-minute shopping and repacking, then transfer to the airport for your flight back home or to Zanzibar.

    Me and my partner went on a 6-day safari trip this February. We wanted to use a local company from Tanzania, and Ernest Magic Tours & Safari was the best choice. It was an amazing experience. Ernest took care of everything, so we just needed to relax and enjoy. We felt safe from the moment of payment and all the way in the trip.
    Frank, who was our guide, was very professional and knowledgeable about the savanna and provided interesting facts about the animals and trees. He was always very enthusiastic and communicative during our trips, making sure we were able to see as many animals as possible. The lunches were proper lunches with delicious African taste. We also loved all the places where we stayed, especially the tent within Serengeti Park. We visited Tarangire, Ngorongo, and Serengeti.
    All in all, everything was perfect, better than I expected. I can only recommend this company!

    Our Tanzanian safari was an unforgettable adventure!
    We spent four amazing days exploring three incredible parks — Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater, and two full days in Serengeti. Every moment was breathtaking.

    Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about nature — we learned so much from him! We were lucky to witness some truly special scenes: a mother lion nursing her cubs, a cheetah chasing an antelope, and so many colorful birds, pumbas, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. The landscapes were just as stunning — the Ngorongoro Crater is absolutely sublime, and the sunset we saw in Serengeti was magical.

    Regina did a fantastic job organizing everything — the lodges she recommended were excellent, and communication with her was always smooth and helpful. Eric, our driver in Arusha, was also very kind and professional.

    Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the whole experience and would highly recommend this team to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable safari in Tanzania.

    Our safari took us through some of the most breathtaking places we’ve ever seen: Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park. Each park was unique and more beautiful than the last. The landscapes, wildlife, and overall experience were simply unforgettable.

    Our guide, Erick, was outstanding. He taught us so much about the animals, their behaviors, and the ecosystem. We watched lions and lionesses relaxing after a hunt, elephants carefully protecting their babies, and even leopards eating in the trees. Seeing the Big Five was amazing, but this safari became so much more than just a checklist because of John’s knowledge and passion.

    A huge thank you to Regina for organizing such a flawless, truly tailor-made trip. And special thanks again to Erick, who drove more than 1,000 km to give us memories that will last a lifetime.
