Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Tour

In the morning, our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi and drive you to Materuni Village, a beautiful village nestled on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro and surrounded by lush green landscapes.

Your Materuni Waterfalls adventure begins with a guided walk through the countryside toward the spectacular waterfall. Along the way, discover how local fruits such as avocados, mangoes, lemons, and bananas are grown while learning about the Chagga people’s traditions, culture, agriculture, and way of life. At the waterfall, take time to enjoy the scenery and, if conditions allow, cool off in the natural pool—so bring your swimsuit.

After the waterfall visit, continue to a local coffee farm for an authentic coffee experience. Learn how coffee is grown, harvested, roasted, ground, and prepared using traditional methods. Join the local community in singing and dancing as the coffee is prepared, then enjoy a freshly brewed cup of Tanzanian coffee.

Finish the experience with a delicious traditional Chagga lunch before returning to Arusha or Moshi after a memorable day of nature, culture, and local hospitality.
