Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

Your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi between 7:30 and 8:00 AM and begin the scenic drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Travel in a private safari vehicle as you descend into the Great Rift Valley and continue through the beautiful Kenyan countryside.

Along the way, stop at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Great Rift Valley, one of Kenya’s most impressive natural landscapes. Take time to enjoy the panoramic views and capture memorable photographs before continuing toward the Maasai Mara.

Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive at around 3:30 PM. Explore the reserve in search of Africa’s iconic wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and buffaloes.

Return to your lodge around 6:30 PM for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 2: Enjoy a full day in Masai Mara

Enjoy a full day of exciting game viewing in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, with two game drives designed to maximize your wildlife encounters. Start with an early morning game drive from around 6:15 to 9:00 AM, when wildlife is often active, followed by breakfast at your lodge.

After lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive from approximately 3:30 to 6:30 PM. Search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and other wildlife across the beautiful Mara plains.

As this is a private Maasai Mara safari, your game drive schedule can be adjusted to suit your preferences, making the experience ideal for families with children and honeymooners. Alternatively, you can choose a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch at no additional cost, allowing you to spend more time exploring the reserve.

Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Return to Nairobi

After a relaxed breakfast, check out of your lodge and begin your return journey to Nairobi. Enjoy a final short morning game drive en route, giving you one more opportunity to spot wildlife across the beautiful Maasai Mara plains.

Continue with the scenic drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the early afternoon, typically around 2:30 PM. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day Maasai Mara safari.
