There was a reason that “The Lion King” creators drew their inspiration from the Serengeti, and today you will get to discover why. Renowned for its large lion population, this may be the best opportunity to get a great view of a lion pride in their natural habitat, as the gazelles, zebras, and buffalo are abundant in this region. Come during the right season, and witness the birth of the wildebeest calves, who will begin their annual migration to Kenya at the end of May. Lunch will be served in the park, and after a full day of games, a drive to your campsite awaits.

Start your day with an early morning game drive, when wildlife is most active, and enjoy a spectacular African sunrise. After the game drive, return to camp for a delicious brunch before continuing to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Known as one of the world’s natural wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater covers approximately 102 square miles and is surrounded by impressive crater walls. Its fertile landscape supports a remarkable variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhino.
The crater features open grasslands, forests, swamps, rivers, and a soda lake, creating an ideal habitat for wildlife. It is also famous for its large elephants and spectacular scenery.
Arrive at your accommodation in Ngorongoro in time to enjoy a beautiful African sunset and sundowner experience.

After breakfast, we descend back into the crater for an early morning game drive, hoping the cool morning air allows for us to see some active wildlife. As the temperatures rise, we may head to the hippo pool to see these spectacular creatures enjoying a dip to beat the heat. As lunch approaches, we make our way to the picnic site on the lake, taking in the spectacular views and having a bite to eat before you head out on the final game drive. After our last glimpse of the park, we head towards the crater rim to make the journey back to Arusha for the evening.
