Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 8:00am and take you to a very special safari park in Tanzania. Tarangire is famous for its diverse landscape with nine different vegetation zones. The Tarangire safari park is particularly known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees (the largest trees on the continent), which fill the landscape and dwarf the animals next to them. The river in the park is full of wildlife, ranging from a large variety of birds to lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and, of course, African elephants. In fact, Tarangire has the largest concentration of elephants in the whole country and provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. In the afternoon, we will still do a game drive before continuing to your accommodation.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

After breakfast, drive up to the Ngorongoro highlands. Spend a few minutes for registration at the gate before driving up to the Crater Viewpoint, where you can make a brief stop to get the most breathtaking views of the crater floor from above. You may take some pictures before descending 600-meter-high walls into the crater floor for a full-day game drive.

Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to by many as the Eden of Africa because of its great scenery and abundance of wildlife. Large mammals and plant animals are making a home in this natural wildlife sanctuary. Lunch boxes will be taken at the crater floor. You can expect to spot herds of wildebeest, eland, zebra, hippos, African elephants, gazelles, and the rare black rhino in their natural habitat.

Another big drawcard in this huge caldera is the denser population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and the ever-elusive leopard that needs a sharp eye to be spotted. All these animals are bound by the 600-meter volcanic walls and can be viewed at a very close range. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is among the main features of the crater. Large flocks of flamingos, many aquatic birds & hippos can usually be seen here. Late afternoon drive out & back to the lodge for dinner & overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

On this day, after breakfast, we will take you to Lake Manyara Park, the evergreen park nestling at the base of the Great East African Rift Valley with overlapping habitats that support a large number of animal species, including the famous Lake Manyara tree-climbing lions, giraffes, elephants, zebras, buffalo, leopards, hyenas, and many more.

Afterward, drive back to Arusha. If you wish, you may visit the Mto wa Mbu market or any Masai market on the way before reaching Arusha in the late afternoon. Please let us know if you are flying on this day or need accommodation in Arusha.

Ernest M T & Safaris was an incredible company. They promptly responded to our original request and sent us the ideal schedule for the little time we had for safari. They ensured that all of our requirements were met, from lodgings to transportation. Our guide, Jeff, was fantastic. He made us feel protected, and he was really considerate. He made sure we could view all of the animals, including the Big Five. He drives exceptionally well on the parks’ tougher terrain. Overall, we had a terrific time and would suggest Ernest Magic Tours and Aboh to anyone wishing to go on safari.

    Unforgettable 3-Day Safari Experience—Highly Recommended!

We had an absolutely amazing 3-day safari experience and couldn’t be happier with our choice. From the very first contact, everything was organized professionally, smoothly, and with great attention to detail.

Our guide was outstanding— incredibly knowledgeable, patient, kind, and always made sure we felt comfortable and safe. He shared so much interesting information about the wildlife, nature, and local culture, which made every game drive even more special. We were lucky enough to see an incredible variety of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and so much more—truly beyond our expectations.

The accommodations were well chosen, clean, and comfortable, and the food was delicious throughout the trip. Traveling with a child, I especially appreciated how thoughtful, calm, and caring the entire team was. Everything felt well-paced and never rushed.

What really stood out was the personal care and honesty. When there was an excess payment, Ernest personally met us and returned it—something that speaks volumes about the integrity and professionalism of this company.

This safari was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us, full of beautiful moments and memories we will treasure forever. I can wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone looking for a trustworthy, well-organized, and truly memorable safari in Tanzania.

Thank you to the entire team for making this journey so special. We would choose you again without hesitation!
