3 Days Tanzania Lodge Safari

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 8:00 AM and begin your Tanzania safari with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its magnificent baobab trees, diverse landscapes, and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers an excellent introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife.

Enjoy a game drive along the Tarangire River, a vital water source that attracts elephants, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and a wide variety of bird species. The park is particularly renowned for its large elephant populations, providing wonderful opportunities to observe these magnificent animals in their natural environment.

Continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

After breakfast, drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands and complete registration at the entrance gate before continuing to the famous Crater Viewpoint. Stop briefly to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the crater floor and take memorable photographs before descending approximately 600 meters into the crater for a full-day game drive.

Often described as one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations, the Ngorongoro Crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife within its ancient volcanic caldera. With a picnic lunch in the crater, explore its diverse habitats and look for wildebeest, zebras, eland, gazelles, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and the endangered black rhino.

The crater is also home to an impressive variety of predators, including lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and, with a little luck, elusive leopards. Continue to Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake that attracts flamingos, hippos, and numerous waterbirds.

After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, ascend the crater walls in the late afternoon and drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic wildlife destination nestled beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Explore its diverse habitats, including groundwater forests, open plains, and the lakeshore, which support a variety of wildlife.

During your game drive, look out for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, and abundant birdlife.

After the game drive, begin your journey back to Arusha. If time allows, you may stop at the vibrant Mto wa Mbu Market or a local Maasai market to browse for souvenirs and experience the local atmosphere. Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon, or continue directly to the airport for your onward flight.
