Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your Tanzania safari begins with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha at 8:00 AM, followed by a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its ancient baobab trees, diverse landscapes, and large elephant herds, Tarangire is one of Northern Tanzania’s top wildlife destinations.

Enjoy a game drive along the Tarangire River, where you may see elephants, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. The park is especially renowned for its impressive elephant population and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.

Continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to your accommodation for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, continue your journey to the legendary Serengeti National Park, famous for its endless savannahs, abundant wildlife, and large lion prides. As you explore the Serengeti, you’ll discover why this iconic landscape inspired the creators of The Lion King.

Enjoy a full-day game drive with opportunities to see lions, elephants, zebras, gazelles, buffaloes, and many other wildlife species. Depending on the season, you may also witness the Great Wildebeest Migration and the spectacular calving season, when thousands of wildebeest calves are born.

Enjoy lunch in the park before continuing your game drive. In the evening, drive to your lodge for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

Wake up early for a spectacular sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, when wildlife is most active. Enjoy the peaceful morning atmosphere and search for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and other wildlife before returning to the lodge for a delicious brunch.

After brunch, continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of Tanzania’s most remarkable natural wonders. The crater supports an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhino.

Take in the breathtaking scenery of the crater’s open grasslands, forests, wetlands, and soda lake. Arrive at your accommodation in time to enjoy a stunning Ngorongoro sundowner, followed by dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

As the temperature rises, visit the famous hippo pool and watch these impressive animals cooling off in the water. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch near the lake while taking in the breathtaking views of the crater.

Raymond was absolutely wonderful as a guide through our 3 night 4 day safari in Serengeti, Ngornogoro, and Tarangire national parks.

He had an extensive knowledge of the parks, the animals, and the Masai and Tanzanian people surrounding the areas we traveled through. We bombarded him with questions throughout the trip and he graciously and thoughtfully answered all of them.

Highly recommend anyone looking for an unforgettable experience to work directly with Ernest Magic Tours – cannot speak highly enough of him and the team!
