Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha-Tarangire National Park

Your Tanzanian safari begins with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha at 8:00 AM, followed by a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Northern Tanzania’s top wildlife destinations.

Famous for its ancient baobab trees, diverse landscapes, and large herds of elephants, Tarangire offers excellent wildlife viewing. During your game drive, look out for lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, elephants, and a variety of bird species, especially around the Tarangire River.

Enjoy an afternoon game drive before continuing to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, continue your Tanzania safari to the legendary Serengeti National Park, the inspiration behind the landscapes and wildlife of The Lion King. Known for its vast savannahs and abundant wildlife, the Serengeti offers excellent opportunities to see large lion prides in their natural habitat.

During your game drive, look out for lions, gazelles, zebras, buffaloes, and other wildlife roaming the endless plains. Depending on the season, you may also witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, including the calving season when thousands of wildebeest are born.

Enjoy lunch in the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive. After a full day of wildlife viewing, head to your lodge for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park—Ngorongoro Crater

Wake up early for a spectacular sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, when wildlife is most active. Enjoy the peaceful morning atmosphere and search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and other wildlife before returning to the lodge for a delicious brunch.

After brunch, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend toward the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, one of Tanzania’s most remarkable natural wonders. The crater is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhino.

Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as you explore the crater’s grasslands, forests, wetlands, and soda lake. In the evening, arrive at your accommodation in time to enjoy a beautiful Ngorongoro sunset, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater—Arusha

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an early morning game drive, when the cool temperatures and morning light offer excellent wildlife viewing. Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, and other animals across the crater floor.

As temperatures rise, visit the hippo pool and watch these impressive animals cooling off in the water. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch near the lake before continuing your final game drive through the crater.

After a last glimpse of Ngorongoro’s incredible wildlife and landscapes, ascend to the crater rim and begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening.
