Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Ernest Magic Tours & Safaris and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. Relax and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay as you prepare for your exciting Tanzania safari adventure.

Day 2: Arusha—Tarangire National Park

We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 8:00am and take you to a very special safari park in Tanzania. Tarangire is famous for its diverse landscape with nine different vegetation zones. The Tarangire safari park is particularly known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees (the largest trees on the continent), which fill the landscape and dwarf the animals next to them. The river in the park is full of wildlife, ranging from a large variety of birds to lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and, of course, African elephants. In fact, Tarangire has the largest concentration of elephants in the whole country and provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. In the afternoon, we will still do a game drive before continuing to your accommodation.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park

Discover why the legendary Serengeti National Park inspired the landscapes of The Lion King. The park is famous for its large lion population, offering excellent opportunities to see lion prides in their natural habitat.

Enjoy a full-day game drive across the endless Serengeti plains, where you may spot lions, elephants, zebras, gazelles, buffaloes, and many other wildlife species. Depending on the season, you may also witness the Great Wildebeest Migration and the birth of thousands of wildebeest calves.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive. In the evening, drive to your lodge for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 4: Serengeti

Enjoy a full day exploring the Serengeti National Park, with the flexibility to plan the day around your preferences. Your safari guide will discuss the best times for game drives, meals, and relaxation based on wildlife activity and your interests.

You can choose a morning game drive, return to your lodge or camp for lunch and relaxation, and continue with an afternoon game drive. Alternatively, enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 5: Serengeti Via Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu

After an early breakfast, enjoy a game drive through Serengeti National Park as you make your way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, which reaches depths of nearly 610 meters.

Formed millions of years ago after a massive volcanic eruption and collapse, the crater is one of Tanzania’s most remarkable natural wonders. Its fertile crater floor supports a high concentration of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, lions, buffaloes, and more than 500 bird species.

Keep an eye out for the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be seen grazing across the open grasslands. After lunch and an extensive game drive, ascend from the crater and continue to Karatu for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 6: Lake Manyara to Arusha

After an early breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a memorable game drive. This beautiful park is known for its diverse landscapes, rich wildlife, and large troops of baboons often seen near the park entrance.

Explore the lush groundwater forest, open grasslands, and scenic shores of Lake Manyara. Keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and a variety of colorful bird species, including flamingos gathered around the lake.

Enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site before continuing your final game drive. In the late afternoon, drive back to Arusha for your onward flight home or flight to Zanzibar, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzania safari.
