Itinerary

Your Tarangire National Park day trip begins with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a scenic 2–3-hour drive to the park. Tarangire is famous for its beautiful landscapes, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife throughout the year.

The park is particularly known for its large elephant herds, with excellent opportunities to see elephants in their natural habitat. During the dry season, especially from July to October, wildlife gathers around the Tarangire River, making it an excellent time for game viewing.

Enjoy a full-day game drive with opportunities to spot lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, and many bird species. With luck, you may even see a python. Tarangire is also a fantastic destination for birdwatching, with more than 500 recorded bird species.

Stop at a scenic picnic site for lunch before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Later, leave the park and drive back to Arusha, arriving before sunset after an unforgettable Tanzania safari day trip.
