Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Ernest Magic Tours & Safaris and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. Relax, settle in, and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay as you prepare for your exciting Tanzania safari and Kilimanjaro adventure.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha at 8:00 AM and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife destinations. The park is famous for its ancient baobab trees, diverse landscapes, and large herds of elephants.

Enjoy a game drive along the Tarangire River, where you may spot elephants, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and numerous bird species. Tarangire is particularly renowned for its impressive elephant population and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.

Continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to your accommodation for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After a hearty breakfast, we make our way to the gates of Ngorongoro Crater, where we descend into the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera. An abundance of wildlife graces this infamous area, known worldwide for its stunning landscape. Enjoy spotting a multitude of different species, from elephants, hippos, and giraffes to the majestic Crater lions and ravenous hyenas. Enjoy a waterfront stop for lunch, enjoying the spectacular views and a bite to eat before you head out for your afternoon game drive. After ascending to the crater rim, we begin our journey back to Arusha.

Day 4: Kilimanjaro and Chemaka Excursion

After breakfast, drive to Materuni Village, located near the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Begin a scenic walk through the lush countryside to Materuni Waterfalls, passing coffee farms, tropical trees, birds, insects, and beautiful local scenery along the way. Enjoy the refreshing waterfall and, if you wish to swim, remember to bring your swimwear.

Return to the village for a traditional Chagga coffee experience and a delicious local lunch. Afterward, continue to Chemka Hot Springs, a beautiful natural pool surrounded by fig trees. Enjoy a relaxing swim in the warm, crystal-clear water before driving back to Arusha for accommodation or airport drop-off.

This day combines Kilimanjaro nature, Chagga culture, waterfalls, and hot springs for a memorable Tanzanian adventure.

    We have just returned from our 4-day safari, a trip of a lifetime guided by JACKON! It was Incredible! From first meeting Jackson, we knew our week of adventures was going to be amazing. He is so personable, kind, and patient, and so knowledgeable and cared only about providing us with the best experience! Jackson’s knowledge of the animals and the landscapes we travelled is vast; we experienced elephants and giraffes and zebras and wildebeests, and my husband’s favourites, the cats up close! So many animals and birds, my husband, a photographer was in his glory! Jackson provided delicious lunches each day and the Land Cruiser was stocked with water and alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.
    We have already shared with our friends the experience Ernest Magic Tours & Safaris provided; it was an unforgettable experience and we hope to return again, We will not hesitate and will look forward to seeing our ‘friend’ Jackson again😊
